We will arrive in Christchurch, the starting point for your New Zealand adventure, where you will check into your cosy accommodation. In the evening, a delightful welcome dinner awaits, where you will get to know your fellow travellers and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the city.

Set off from Christchurch and enjoy a scenic drive north toward Kaikōura, leaving the city behind as the landscape opens up along the coast. The route follows the Pacific Ocean, offering uninterrupted views of rugged cliffs, rocky shorelines, and waves crashing against the land.

As we continue along this spectacular coastal road, the dramatic Seaward Kaikōura Range rises sharply inland, creating a striking contrast between mountain and sea; one of the most distinctive drives in the South Island.

Upon arrival in Kaikōura, check into your hotel, enjoy dinner, and settle in for an overnight stay.

Immerse yourself in the natural wonders of Kaikoura with a day dedicated to its breathtaking wildlife and coastal beauty. We will begin our day with an unforgettable whale-watching tour, where you’ll set sail into the deep blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. Keep your eyes peeled for the majestic sperm whales, okras and even dolphins which are known to frequent these waters.

Next, head to the local seal colony, where you can observe these playful and curious creatures in their natural habitat. The seals bask on the rocky shores and frolic in the surf, providing endless entertainment and fantastic photo opportunities.

After a day filled with adventure and awe, return to your hotel in Kaikoura to relax and unwind.

We leave Kaikoura’s rugged coastline behind and begin one of the most spectacular drives of the journey, heading inland toward the West Coast.

En route, we stop at Lake Pearson, a quiet high-country lake known for its mirror-like reflections and serene surroundings.

The drive continues through Arthur’s Pass, one of the country’s most iconic mountain crossings. Famous for its dramatic peaks, deep gorges, and impeccable scenery, this route is a true highlight for anyone who loves driving through wild, ever-changing landscapes.

By late afternoon, we will arrive in Hokitika, a laid-back coastal town best known for its greenstone (pounamu), rugged beaches, and untamed natural beauty. Check into your beachfront resort, soak in the sound of the waves, and retire for the night.

Today’s drive follows one of New Zealand’s most dramatic coastal routes along the West Coast. The road runs between dense rainforests and the Tasman Sea, with rugged cliffs, river mouths, and wild beaches defining the journey.

First, we visit Punakaiki, home to the famous Pancake Rocks and blowholes— extraordinary limestone formations shaped over millions of years. As the ocean surges through narrow channels, powerful sprays of water erupt skyward, making this one of the West Coast’s most iconic natural sights.

The drive then continues south toward Franz Josef. Known worldwide for the Franz Josef Glacier, this region is famous for its rare combination of rainforest, ice, and mountains existing side by side.

By evening, we arrive in Franz Josef, check into our hotel, and unwind after another unforgettable day on the road before retiring for the night.

We start the day with an unforgettable adventure—a thrilling helicopter ride over Franz Josef Glacier. As we soar above the towering ice formations, the breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, deep crevasses, and shimmering blue ice make for an experience like no other.

Once the glacier tour concludes, we return to Franz Josef, with the rest of the day at leisure. Spend the afternoon relaxing in town, soaking in the surroundings, or simply unwinding after an incredible day, before returning to the hotel.

We leave Franz Josef behind and begin another unforgettable drive, heading inland from the wild West Coast.

Continuing onward, the route takes us through ever-changing landscapes as we cross mountain passes and river valleys, eventually entering Central Otago, a region celebrated for its vast open spaces, historic towns, and world-class fruit orchards and vineyards.

By evening, we arrive in Cromwell, a town best known for its heritage charm, lakeside setting, and as the heart of Central Otago’s fruit-growing and wine country. Check into the hotel and unwind after a long yet rewarding day on the road before retiring for the night.

We set out from Cromwell for a spectacular day drive through the heart of the South Island. The journey takes us across wide open landscapes and through Lindis Pass, famous for its rolling golden tussock hills and sweeping high-country views.

Our first stop is Lake Tekapo, renowned for its vivid blue waters, and serene lakeside views. Continuing onward, the route brings the striking turquoise expanse of Lake Pukaki into view, with the snow-capped peak of Mount Cook rising dramatically in the distance.

We then spend time in Mount Cook National Park, known for its glacial valleys, and as home to New Zealand's highest mountain.

By evening, we begin our return drive to Cromwell, arriving back at the hotel after an enriching day.

We begin the day with a scenic drive from Cromwell toward Queenstown, travelling via the beautiful lakeside town of Wānaka. Known for its relaxed vibe and stunning setting beside Lake Wānaka, this stop offers a perfect break to soak in alpine views before continuing the journey.

By afternoon, we arrive in Queenstown, New Zealand's adventure capital. Set on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and framed by the Remarkables mountain range, the town is renowned for its thrilling experiences, breathtaking scenery, and lively atmosphere.

Upon arrival, we check into our accommodation and settle in for the night.

Later, we take a ride on the Queenstown Gondola, soaring high above the town to enjoy panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu, the Remarkables, and the surrounding alpine landscape. It’s a perfect contrast to the morning’s thrills and one of the best vantage points in Queenstown.

After that, the rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace. If you’re up for more excitement, Queenstown offers endless options—from bungee jumping and skydiving to simply wandering through town and soaking in its vibrant, lakeside atmosphere.

In the evening, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Our final adventure takes us to the breathtaking Milford Sound. We take a scenic flight over snow-capped peaks, deep valleys, and sparkling lakes, soaking in the raw beauty of Fiordland National Park.

Upon landing, we set sail on a peaceful cruise through the fjord, surrounded by towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls. Seals bask on the rocks, dolphins glide alongside the boat, and if we're lucky, we might even spot a rare penguin.

After the cruise, we fly back to Queenstown for a special farewell dinner. As we gather one last time, we share stories, laughter, and memories of an unforgettable journey—one that has left us with new friendships and experiences to cherish forever.

After a final breakfast in the beautiful surroundings of Queenstown, it’s time to say goodbye. With hearts full of memories and cameras full of stunning photos, we bid farewell to this incredible journey.

Our team will arrange transfers to the airport, ensuring a smooth departure. As you board your flight, you take with you not just souvenirs but also the unforgettable experiences, breathtaking landscapes, and new friendships made along the way.

Until we meet again on another adventure—safe travels and see you on the road!
